APAT European Team Championships won by Poland
This past weekend was full of APAT events. One of those events was the APAT European Team Championships. The event took place at the G Casino with twelve countries fighting for the title. The event took place over a two day period and it was the Poland team that was able to take the win.
Each team had four players and they competed in series of 80 Six Max Sit and Go’s and heads up matches. Points were awarded for finishing certain positions. The English team was in the lead after day one and into the second day. the team would fall behind in the final two rounds and finished in third place.
This would allow the Poland team to emerge the victor. Poland won the best of three heads up to break a tie with France. Poland won a prize of £3,200 as well as the Championship Cup and Gold medal. The France and England team earned prize money as well as the Silver and Bronze medal.
