APT Adds Several Events to Manila Tournament Series
The Asian Poker Tour Manila Tournament Series is set to begin on January 27th and continue until February 1st. the tournament will take place at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel in Makati, Philippines. The APT recently announced that this year’s stop in Manila will have several new events added to the schedule.
The first event is a Pot Limit Omaha tournament that will take place during the preliminaries. This will be the first ever Omaha event to take place during a major poker tour in Asia. The other events that have been added will take place during the preliminaries as well.
Four new events will be No Limit Hold’em but will have variations of the game including a freeze-out format. There will also be a bounty event, a re-buy and a six handed event. Another new event to be featured during the preliminaries is 13-Card Poker, which is a favored game in Asia.
With these added events the Manila tournament series is sure to be an interesting event and become quite exciting as tournament play nears the Main Event. It will also be interesting to see which poker pros will be competing in this year’s events.
