APT Macau Main Event Won by Online Qualifier
The APT Macau Festival was anticipated by many poker players especially those who play professionally. The festival had several events but the main attraction was the Main event. The main event had 325 players competing and surprisingly it was an online qualifier who took the title win.

Adrien Allain of Renness turned pro just recently in the game of poker and he won his seat via an online satellite at PKR for just five dollars. Allain is now $391,594 richer after that small investment. Allain won his buy-in to the event, which was $4,438, when he won the $5 satellite at PKR.

Allain commented on his win stating: “I’m overwhelmed, this is so wonderful. I qualified for this tournament through a five dollar lottery tournament on PKR and ended up beating all those top players.”

Allain is known online as zlatan35 and he has stated that he would use his earnings at tournaments to try and further his poker career. Though his bankroll was only $8,000, Allain was able to outlast such players as JC Tran, David Steicke and Casey Kastle in final table play.

Allain had to face Inwook Choi in heads up play before the win would be his. Allain was able to gain the chip advantage before he entered heads up play and this enable him to claim the win, leaving Choi with the second place finish of $214,185.
