Asian Pacific Poker Tour Ready to begin

What a week for poker - the European Poker Tour (EPT) London event is already being played, the World Championship of Online Poker has been bringing in record numbers and prize pools, and Seoul, South Korea is about to begin the biggest most talked about poker event ever held on mainland Asia. After the successful event in Manila, Philippines, the Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is making waves in the small nation.

The event is being held at the Paradise Walker Hill Casino, in the Sheraton Grande Walker Hill, overlooking the Han River. This historic area is making history once again with a large, competitive poker event, complete with major stars in the sport.

During a press conference, Poker Stars, the events primary sponsor, and APPT Jeffery Hans welcomed players and qualifiers from more than 30 countries, proving this to be a truly international event. Illustrating the pull poker is developing in the area, some of the countries represented in the press core included China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

The Manilia Poker Stars Powerhouses are back for Seoul, but they come with company. Joe Hachem and Vanessa Rousso are competiting across the felt with fellow team members, Isabelle Mercier, Masa Kagawa, Lee Nelson and Tuan Lam. These members of Team PokerStars are defiantly going to make a mark on the event.

The event begins today the 28th of September.
