Aussie Millions Date Set for 2008

Aussie Millions poker tournament is set to start a few months from now in Melbourne, Australia. Many pro players will making the trip "down under" to participate in the much anticipate event. The tournament is set to receive a record of over 1000 players and boasts a guaranteed $1 million dollar first prize. The games will begin on January 5th with a no-limit hold'em two-day tournament.

Last year the tournament had over 700 players and Gus Hanson took the grand prize. Gus was sponsored by Full Tilt Poker for the event and took down online superstar Jimmy Fricke to win $1.5 million dollar (AUD).
