Bellagio World Poker Classic Preliminaries
The Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic has finished up seven preliminary events and they are halfway through their schedule with seven more events to go before the $25,000 dollar buy in WPT Championship Event.
Some of the players who have cashed in at the seven preliminary events are well known and recognizable players. Event 1 was a $2,000 No Limit Hold'em game that brought in 237 players and among them was WSOP bracelet winner James Mackey, Jason Potter and "The Grinder" Mizrachi.
Event 2 was a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em that only 148 players and Peter Neff, David Levi, Thayer Rasmussen, Shannon Shorr, Scott Clements and Francois Safieddin all made they way into the top 18 players to cash out.
Event 3 was a $3,000 No Limit Hold'em that didn't have the big stars of poker except for up and comer Zach Hyman. He was recently in the final table of the World Poker Challenge that was held in Reno.
Event 4 was a $5,000 No Limit Hold'em that Scott Clements took home. Event 5 was a $2,000 No Limit Hold'em that had 180 people in it to win including Team Bodog's Jean-Robert Bellande, Men Nguyen, Scotty Nguyen. Alan Smurfut, Hasan Habib and Danny Wang. But the winner was the up and comer Zach Hyman.
Event 6 was a $2,500 No Limit Hold'em that saw a lot of previous poker stares and Jason Potter, Peter Neff, David Wong and Hason Habib all made their second cash out for the series along with Allen Kessler, Mark Seif, Eric Haber and Amnon Filippi joining the ranks for the first tine.
Event 7 was a $3,000 No Limit Hold'em that drew in 129 players and Nam Le, Justin Bonomo, Shannon Shorr, Michael Mizrachi, Toto Leonidas and Amnon Filippi all walk away with a little something in their pockets.
