Bodog Announces Poker Open III Schedule
All the major online poker rooms have been holding their large poker tournament series and pretty soon it will be Bodog’s turn. Bodog Poker just announced the schedule for their Poker Open III which will begin April 26th and continue until May 3rd.
Bodog has decided to change things up this year and hold a tiered tournament, similar to other major poker rooms. The tournament series will hold events which will consist of three tiers. A low buy-in, mid range buy-in and a high roller buy-in. The high buy-in tier is called the Championship Series, the mid-range buy-in is called the Mid-Stakes Series and the low buy-in tier is called the Mini-bounty Series.
Even thought the tier system is similar to other tournaments Bodog is doing one thing that is far different than other websites. The Championship Series events will have $75,000 added to each prize pool. The tournaments will not have a guaranteed but will have this amount added to the total prize pool.
For those who cannot afford the higher buy-in tiers they will still have the chance to experience something special. Bodog Pros will be playing in the mini-bounty events so players will get to play with some of the best players in the world. Evelyn Ng, Justin Bonomo, David Williams and Jean-Robert Bellande will be competing in the events.
Daily satellites, qualifiers and last chance satellites have already started running at Bodog so players can earn their seats in the different events. Players will find a complete schedule of events at the Bodog Poker website.
