Borgotta Summer Open Update
This year's Summer Poker Open kicked off on June 9th and so far eight events have been completed. Players paid between $200 dollars up to $1,000 to win in those eight events and some of the best players on the East Coast are either skipping the WSOP or racking up those frequent flyer miles to take part in the action happening at the Borgota.
Players; Joey “JOEYTHEB” Brooks, Lou Rousso, Thomas Coan, Boris “fratboy247” Kravets, Nick Frangos, Dave Fillipi, and Todd Rebello have all been playing in the events at the Summer Poker Open. The $1,000 buyin event was won by Vladimir Peck after he bested the 517 player field to take home the biggest chunk of the $376,000 prize pool, $109,040 dollar to be exact.
There are still four preliminary event left to go on the schedule before the Championship Event. The Championship Event has a $5,000 dollar buyin and starts this Sunday at 11am. Players will start out with 5,000 starting stacks and a large number of top players are going to be making their way to participate in the event.
