Caesars Classic Main Event Won by Isaac Baron
The Caesars Palace Classic $5,000 Main Event recently concluded and it was Isaac “westmenloAA” Baron who earned the first place win. Baron managed to gain a huge chip lead to earn the just over $246,000 first place prize.
The event took two days to complete and 162 players posted the $5,000 buy-in. the final table held ten players with the first person being eliminated was Chris Bjorin. Mark Ketteringham finished in ninth while Kathy Liebert earned an eighth place finish.
Baron earned his chip lead around this time. A three way all in saw Glen Chorny and Theo Tran going up against Isaac Baron as well as each other. Baron would get a straight and take out Tran in seventh place and gaining a large chip lead.
Sixth would go to Erik Nomberg while Jimmy Tran went out in fifth. Baron would bust Alex Keating in fourth and he would now hold 80% of the chips in play. Glen Chorny would then go out in third leaving Baron and Michael Benvenuti to compete in heads up play. Benvenuti would have a huge disadvantage in chips and would soon be eliminated in second place. Benvenuti would earn $129,562 while Baron would earn $246,928 for first place.
