California State Poker Championship to Begin in April

Poker players will be excited to know that the California State Poker championship has been rescheduled and will now begin much earlier than anticipated. The original date for the championship was September 4th but it will now begin on April 30th and continue until May 24th.

The championship will end just before the WSOP and will take place in Los Angeles at the Commerce Casino. The championship will take place over twenty five days and have twenty four events. The ending event will be the $5,100 No Limit Hold’em championship and it will take place on May 22nd. This event will have a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000.

The tournament will begin with a $400,000 guaranteed event with a low buy-in of $335. On April 24th single table satellites will begin and on the 30th $100 Super Satellites will take place. The championship has new events taking place this year that players are sure to enjoy. Two H.O.R.S.E events, $545 double elimination NLHE heads up tournament and a $200 no limit hold’em event with rebuys have been added.
