Cardinal7 Wins WCOOP In Limit Hold

Event # 7 in the World Championship of Online Poker ended in victory for Cardinal7. He defeated TheMasterJ33 to win the title and take home almost $68,000. More than 2,000 players bought in at $215 dollars making the guaranteed $100,000 go up to almost $400,000. It took over a days time to get down to the final table and only nine players were left:

Here is how the action went down. Nirvana76 check raised all-in to Cardinal7 because he had Kclub Jspade but it was no good against Cardinal7s pair of queens. A queen fell on the turn giving Cardinal7 the win and Nirvana76 finished in ninth place. The second player to leave the table was cfinn. After a few hands, cfinn was down in chips so when an Ace King was dealt cfinn decided to go all in. Again, Cardinal7 stayed in and with a pair of kings he proved to be too hard to beat. 5spade, 2 diamonds, 2 hearts were of no help to cfinn, and with no ace on the turn or the river, cfinn was eliminated finishing in eighth place for $6,053.46.

The next few to go were 011180, Itchy, lilholdem954, superbrono, and PapaPapsilon in that order. That left only Cardinal and TheMasterJ33 at the table. In heads-up play both Cardinal and TheMasterJ33 decided to cut a chip-count deal that left $20,000 on the table to play with. TheMasterJ33 was in the chip lead but within ten minutes Cardinal7 had won back enough to nearly even the chip count. Cardinal7 then took the chip lead when a king-high flop came and TheMasterJ33 had KQ but Cardinal7 had AK.

Cardinal7 kept on winning on the river and pressuring TheMasterJ33 until he became victorious in the 2007 WCOOP event. Cardinal7 won a WCOOP gold bracelet and almost $68,000.
