Coast to Coast Poker Championship in Canada

The Coast to Coast Poker Championship in WPT Canada was recently announced and it is set to kick off in May.  This is going to the first ever tournament put on by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation which has been organizing bigger and better poker tournaments this year. 

The tournament is pitting the East against the West in a poker showdown that will start on May 4th and run until May 13th.  The BCLC is expecting to have around 2,650 players and a combined prize pool for all of the seven events to be around $2.4 million dollars.

The Main Event will be on May 9th and 10th with a player cap of 550 and the event will have $2,800+$200 buy in.  The first place prize will be $377,300 if the event is a sell out.

The preliminary events will include NL Texas Hold'em, Pot Limit Texas Hold'em and Omaha High Mix.  There is also going to be a bounty event where players get to knock out celebrities to get extra cash.
