Dwan and Sahamies Compete in Round Two of Challenge
Tom Dwan and Ilari Sahamies competed in round two of the Million Dollar Challenge yesterday in London. The competition is named after Dwan and will see him compete against several poker pros in various forms of poker competition.
The game played this time was pot limit Omaha. Both players paid $250,000 to compete and the blinds started at $500/$1000. The blinds would eventually increase to $2,000/$4,000. Each player would re-buy once which would bring the total amount of dollars in game play to $1 million.
In the end Dwan would come out on top winning $68,000 which would replace the loss he earned to Marcello Marigliano in the first round. Today will be the last day of play as Dwan takes on Sammy George in heads up no limit hold’em.
It will be interesting to see if Dwan will be able to remain on top after this match up or if he will be left in the hole. Either way the matches are definitely entertaining as neither player is allowed to leave the table until 500 hands have been completed.
