FTOPS V Event 8 Awards $48k To Kiajessie

Event number 8 of the 5th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS-V), $200 Omaha Eight-or-Better, succeeded well beyond expectations. With 1,073 entrants, the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool swelled immensely to $214,600 - a 43% increase from the original guaranteed prize.

The $200 buy-in event saw a list of well known poker pros seated for the Omaha event, number 8 on the 14-event schedule of the FTOPS-V. Chris Ferguson of Team Full Tilt made his way to the final 20, but finished there with a prize of $815. Eric 'Rizen' Lynch fought his way to the 14th position, followed by Jonathan 'HoosierAlum' Depa in 13th, both pocketing $1,459 for their skilled efforts.

The final table came down to heads-up action between 'Kiajessie' and 'Muckmehard', who won $14,573 earlier this year in the Full Tilt Poker $500,000 guaranteed tournament June 24th.

After a diligent battle, Kiajessie came out on top, leaving Muckmehard with an honorable 2nd place prize of $31,117. Kiajessie walked away with 1st place winnings of $48,285 and a an exclusive FTOPS gold jersey avatar.
