Father Beats Son in UK Open

Aug 23, 2007
Author: Steve Vaughan
Father and son Peter and Josh Gould competed in the final table of the National Poker League's UK Open Championship play out. Unfortunately the son couldn't beat his old man, but the older Gould busted the younger Gould on his way to the winner's prize along with Darren Woods and Jeff Buffenbarger.

Just after two hands, Peter Gould beat Patrick Selin, took the title and collected the GBP 34 000 main prize. Even though older Gould recently cashed for $25 101 at the at the 2007 WSOP Main Event and has won two Five Diamond Classic tournaments in Las Vegas, he says the NPL´s UK Poker Championship is the biggest win to date.

Arriving in second place, Patrick Selin won GBP 21 250. Dieter Dijkstra, Lee Watts, James Hart, Dan Carter and Jason Ho were the other players who reached the final table.
