Full Tilt $1k Monday Tournament Sees Good Turnout
Full Tilt Poker’s $1k Monday Tournament this week saw a good turnout, so much so, that the prize pool was increased by $57,000. The tournament has a guarantee of $300,000 but with 357 players competing, the prize pool was increased to $357,000.
The buy-in for this event is of course $1,000 plus the $60 tournament fees. A few notable players were knocked out before the final table was set, which was disappointing for them to say the least. Corey Burbick finished in 10th while Tim West finished in 14th and David Randall finished in 15th.
Final table play would last some time before Dave “Doc Sands” Sands and Grayson “The_Dean221” Nichols would be left to battle in heads up play. it would not be long before Sands would gain the chip lead and make his move.
Sands and Grayson would go all in and Sands cards would hold up while Grayson was knocked out of the competition. Sands would earn a nice $89,000+ pay day for his efforts while Grayson earned almost $30,000 less for second place.
