Full Tilt Poker Announces FTOPS-VII In February

Online poker room Full Tilt Poker has announced the upcoming Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS-VII) scheduled to kick off this February. The 2008 major poker event will now consist of 20 events, including popular poker games like No Limit Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, Razz and Seven Card Stud.

Last year's FTOPS main event saw fkscreennames pocket the first place prize of $400,000 out of the $2-million guaranteed prize pool. An array of big names were found at the online poker event, including Sorel 'imper1um' Mizzi, who took one of the Pot Limit Holdem events. Each event is hosted by a Full Tilt Pro, including the likes of Phil Ivey, Andy Black and Roland De Wolfe.

According to Full Tilt Poker, there are plenty of ways for their members to get in on this year's action. Satellite competitions are currently underway, awarding entry to FTOPS-VII. Any lucky player who manages to take down more than one Satellite will not only be awarded entry to the major poker event, but will also have his or her account credited with an amount equal to the event's buy-in.

The us online poker site is also offering what they have termed the "Bouncebackability" Freeroll. Any player who 'almost' wins a seat in FTOPS-VII, but gets bumped out just before doing so, will be entered into this Freeroll competition, where the winner is awarded a seat in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII Main Event.

The final, #20 No Limit Holdem Main Event will be held February 17th at 18:00 ET with a direct buy-in of $500+$35, guaranteeing a $2,000,000 prize pool.
