Full Tilt Poker to Host Online Tournament Fundraiser

The Road 2 Recovery foundation is a charitable organization that works to support professional AMA Motocross and Supercross members who have been injured. The foundation was created by Jimmy Button after he recovered from his own crash. The foundation has now teamed up with Full Tilt Poker and Monster Energy Drinks to host an online tournament fundraiser.

The tournament will take place on the Full Tilt website and donations will be taken from the buy-in. Players must post $5 plus $5 to enter the tournament and $5 of that money will go toward the foundation. The other half will go toward building the prize pool. The prize pool will have an added Curtis and Co. “World” model sports watch that is valued at $2,200 that will be given to the winner.

Monster Drinks has pledged to donate up to $10,000 to match the donations given during the tournament. Players can sign up for the tournament on the Full Tilt website under the Private Tab in the tournament directory. The event is highlighted in red and listed as the Sep 21,-1830-Hold’em-NL-$5 + $5. The password for entry is “Recovery”.

Several poker players and athletes are expected to play in the tournament. Full Tilt players: Jennifer Harmon, Andy Bloch, Jeff Madsen, Roy Winston, Marco Traniello and Karina & Chip Jett are expected to play as well as Supercross celebrities Josh Grant, Jason Thomas and Grant Langston.

Players can not only participate in a tournament for a worthy cause but they may also get the chance to play against their favorite poker pro or just gloat to their buddies that they took on a poker professional. Either way, it is sure to be a great time that will benefit a great cause.
