Greg Raymer Wins WCOOP Event 6

Greg Raymer, otherwise known as "fossilman", was one of ten players left in the 2007 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) tournament when he suddenly lost his Internet connection. Play continued for another twenty minutes before Raymer was reconnected and could resume play. Luckily, Raymer was in good chip standings so he still had plenty to play with. "Whew, bad time to lose Internet," Raymer typed in the chat box when he was reconnected.

Greg advanced to the final table and managed to send two players packing by hitting a flush on two different occasions. When it came down to the final two players it was Raymer and O.Mustang. The tension was raised after Raymer won a few hands on the river:"do they tell u what I have?," O.Mustang asked in the chat. O.Mustang was obviously bringing up Raymers connection with Pokerstars. Raymer has a sponsorship deal with the site. "obv not," Raymer replied. After this remark, Pokerstar.com support came on and said "No one can see anyones [sic] hole cards during the hands".

In the end Fossilman came out on top with two pair of sevens and eights in the final hand. Raymer achieved his biggest Omaha win ever working his way through the 772 players in the tournament. Raymer took home a nice prize of $168,362.40 followed by O.Mustang with an amount of $97,022.40.
