Hihila Wins LEOCOP IV Main Event

The Ladborkes European Online Championship of Poker has come to an end after the Main Event took place this past weekend. The series had over four thousand players participate with over six hundred playing in the Main Event.

The buy-in for the Main Event was $1,000 plus $100 and the first place winner would take home $230,000. World Series of Poker bracelet winners, final table players and World Series of Poker Europe final table players were participating but could not hold on for the victory. Hihila, a Danish player, outlasted the talented field to win the Main Event title.

Hihila is a Ladbrokes Poker regular player. He played in other tournaments during the LEOCOP IV series before the Main Event. According to the poker website, hihila managed to hold on to the chip lead during most of the final table and also played well during the fourteen hour tournament.

Edward Ihre, Ladbrokes Poker Managing Director, stated: "Ladbrokes Poker is really proving to be a lucky talisman for the Danes. At the same time 'hahila' was dominating the final table eventually winning $230,000 after over 14 hours of play, Peter Eastgate, who flew out to Las Vegas as part of Team Ladbrokes in July of this year was bossing the WSOP final table. Both events have been great for Ladbrokes Poker this year."
