India To Host Asian Poker Classic 2008
Last year's APC tournament saw 3 days of intense action as 140 players gathered in the resort town of Goa. Denmark's Carl Hostrup weaved his way through the pack to come out on top, pocketing $320,000 of the million dollar prize pool.
"We are extremely excited about coming back in 2008," expressed Imran Hassan, the Asian Poker Classic Director of Operations. "The inaugural APC was a huge success so of course the planning started right after to produce a bigger, better and even more luxurious poker tournament in India. Asian Poker Classic is no doubt poised to be one of the biggest tournaments in the region."
This year's APC predicts to exhibit the highest poker tournament prize pool in the region's history, and due to their location, is expected to attract the most skilled poker players from all over Asia and Europe.
