International Poker Open 2007
The Royal Dublin Society Shelbourne Hall and the Jackpot Club in Dublin will be hosting The International Poker Open on Saturday and Sunday October 6-7th, 2007. The buy-in is 150 Euros.
Although the tournament does not promise to have the largest prize pool ever, there are high hopes that the low buy-in, and the venues capability of hosting up to 1000 players, will help organizers achieve their goal of for the largest European poker event. The 2007 Irish Open holds the current record with 708 entrants. With 706 entrants this years EPT event in Monte Carlo narrowly missed becoming the largest European event.
Larger player fields in Europe will become more and more common with the addition of the World Series Of Poker Europe (WSOPE) and the growth of the European Poker Tour (EPT).
