Irish Poker Championship Sponsored by PokerStars

The Irish Poker Championship is coming up this December and online poker giant PokerStars has signed on as sponsor of the Championship. The event will begin on December 10th in Galway at the Radisson Hotel.

The tournament will take place over four days and players can participate in three side events with various buy-ins. Players can compete in the €250, €350 or the €550 side events. The main event has a buy-in of €2,000 and will give the winner a nice prize of €250,000 as well as a seat to the 2010 European Poker Tour London event.

Several poker pros have already confirmed their attendance and those included are: Marcel Luske, Marty Smyth, Neil Channing, Andy Black, Surindar Sunar, Padraig Parkinson, Jon Kalmer and Julian Gardner.
Kirsty Thompson the European Events manager for PokerStars commented:
