The first two days at the Irish Poker Open have been played and we are now nearing the final table.  A total of 52 players will be returning on Sunday at 2pm GMT and they will play until there are only nine players left.

The current chip leader is Mark Spellman with 337,000 in chips, he is the only player that has over 300,000 chips left in the tournament.  Sorel Mizzi is another notable player who is still in the tournament.  He currently has 185,000 in chips and is in 12th place.  Julian Thew has 164,000 in chips and currently is in 14th place.

A total of 72 players will get some paid cash, the player that takes First place will get  €801,400 or $1.25 Million dollars.  The event had a guaranteed prize pool of €3 million but 667 players bought into the €4,200 tournament and organizers had to add another €200,000 to the overall prize pool.
