Jason Alexander to Host Celebrity Poker Tournament
It was recently announced that Jason Alexander will be hosting a celebrity poker tournament in May to raise money for domestic violence victims in Los Angeles, California. The event will draw celebrities and poker pros alike to raise money for the worthwhile cause.
Alexander is best known for this role on the popular television show Seinfeld, as George Costanza. But he is also known in the poker world for playing in live tournaments as well as at PokerStars. He was recently signed by the poker room to play online at their site.
The poker event will take place on May 9th and will benefit the 1736 Family Crisis Center. This center is the largest domestic violence charity in the city of Los Angeles. The tournament will take place at the Hollywood Park Casino and will offer a first place prize of $10,000. The buy-in for each seat is $250 and players will be able to enjoy a fun tournament of Texas Hold’em.
Several poker pros have confirmed they will be competing in the tournament and many more are sure to sign up. Those confirmed are: Jamie Gold, Chip Jett and Greg Raymer. Fans should also expect to see several celebrities competing as well.
