A good number of WSOP bracelets have been awarded over the past few days many of which have been firsts for the winning players. One of the lucky players to win their first WSOP bracelet was Jason Mercier when he won the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Tournament this past Wednesday.

Mercier outlasted the 809 players in the tournament to take home the $237,462 and his first WSOP bracelet. Mercier is a twenty two year old poker pro who has only been in the industry for a short time. His first cash in a tournament came in April of last year and since that time Mercier has been on a roll.

Since his first cash, Mercier has gone on to win five tournaments which include two EPT wins. He can now add the WSOP bracelet to his list of achievements. It will now be interesting to see if Mercier will enter any more WSOP events and if he will be able to earn another WSOP bracelet.
