Jennifer Harmon to Host Charity Poker Tournament
Plans were recently announced by poker pro Jennifer Harmon to host a charity poker tournament. The tournament will raise money for the National Kidney Foundation. Harmon does a lot of charity work and this is just another way she can use her fame in the poker world to raise money for a great cause.
Poker pros and celebrities will be participating in the tournament as well as regular Joes. The event is set to take place on March 11th at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada where Harmon is from.
The buy in to the no limit Texas hold’em tournament is $230 and all proceeds from the buy in's will go to the Nation Kidney Foundation of Northern Nevada and Northern California. Several players have already confirmed their attendance and they include: Doug Lee, Mike Brown, Ross Powers, Maria Ho, Todd Brunson, Howard Lederer and Marco Traniello.
Harmon commented on the tournament: “The Grand Sierra Resort has been very supportive. I’m excited to be returning to my hometown Reno in support of the local community and the National Kidney Foundation.”
