Jesse Hale Wins WSOP Circuit Event
The World Series of Poker Circuit recently stopped in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Jesse Hale won the $5,000 no limit hold’em main event. Sixty seven players participated in the tournament and final table play ended on Wednesday. Hale won $113,020 for his first place finish.
The first player out after final table play began was Jeff Daubs. Daubs went all in with pocket jacks and were knocked out by Hale who had pocket aces. A short time later Jeff Bryan was knocked out by Dennis Meierotto after he drew a full house.
The next few players eliminated were Jeff Banghart, Ari Engel, Joaquin Sosa, Evan Panesis and John McDonald. After McDonald was eliminated then it left Meierotto and Hale to compete in heads up play.
When it came down to the final hand Hale and Meierotto were both in. Hale had A-7 and Meierotto held 6-5. The flop of A-J-6 fell and a King came on the turn. Hale got a seven on the river and won the hand with two pair.
