Jonathan Little Wins Foxwoods World Poker Finals
At the young age of twenty four, Jonathan Little has achieved a lot in the poker world. Just last year, Jonathan made three final table appearances at WPT events with one win and finished second during the 2007 North American Poker Championship. Now Jonathan has won a second WPT title at Foxwoods.
Six players made the final table at Foxwoods: Chip Leader Jonathan Jaffe followed by David Pham, Jonathan Little, Charles Marchese, Jack Schanbacher and Mike Matusow bringing up the rear. When play began the short stack player, Matusow, would be the first to go. Little knocked him out and then moved on to put out Schanbacher in fifth.
Marchese would then knock out Pham with K-J against deuces. But Little would strike again and put Marchese out in third. Heads up play would now begin between Little and Jaffe. This match up took over five hours before a winner would be determined.
The final hand saw Jaffe’s A-10 against Little’s A-Q. Little was successful and took the win but it was a long hard battle that lasted 275 hands. This was a World Poker Tour record, with the previous high hand count at 271 which involved Little who finished runner up in the 2007 North American Poker Championship.
