Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival Won by Thomas Rolfe
The Ladbrokes Poker Irish Festival took place this past weekend in Killarney and 750 players took part in the four day festival. It was twenty two year old Thomas Rolfe of Nottingham who managed to outlast the field and take down the first place win.
Rolfe earned €100,000 after defeating Emmet Gough, a local player. Rolfe was very excited about the win and earned his spot at the tournament via a rake race at Ladbrokes online. Rolfe commented on the win stating: “I’m really pleased to have won this event. it’s a big stepping stone and a chance to invest in a new house.” Rolfe also earned the first Ladbrokes Poker Cruise IV package.
"This tournament has once again been a huge success and is a fitting place to launch the poker cruise. It's nice to see familiar faces and also welcome some first-timers. We're already planning next year's Irish event, though I think it's going to take 12 months to recover from the weekend's festival,” Stated Kate McLennan, the Head of Poker.
