Lederer Wins H.O.R.S.E. WPT Event
The $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Poker Tour Festa al Lago preliminary event recently concluded and Howard Lederer was named the winner. The event was held this past Thursday and had a small field of nineteen players competing.
Even though the field of players was only nineteen players the competition was tough. Skilled players were there to compete and those included were: Michael Binger, Andy Bloch, Scott Clements, David Singer and Eli Elezra.
Lederer would have to face Ralph Perry in heads up play before he could earn the first place prize. After defeating Perry, Lederer would earn a nice $92,150 prize as well as the championship watch. This is Lederer’s first major tournament win since 2008 when he won the $100,000 buy-in event at the Aussie Millions.
Third place would go to Rod Pardey who would earn $36,860 for his efforts. Perry would earn $55,290 for second place. With his first place finish Lederer now has career tournament earnings of over $5 million.
