Montel Williams Charity Tournament Winner John Colville

Montel Williams and the Golden Nugget Casino located in Las Vegas got together to host a charity poker tournament on Friday to benefit the Montel Williams MS Foundation. 

The event was held in the newly renovated pavilion at the Golden Nugget and was the first event is a series of poker tournaments that started on June 6th and will run until July 6th.  The series is called "The Grand" and is a tie in to the poker mockumentary of the same name.

There were 60 players in the tournament that each donated $1,080 dollars to play and professional poker players Jennifer Tilly, Phil Isaak, Marsha Waggoner,Robert Williamson III and Jamie Gold all entered into the tournament to show their support and enjoy a game of cards.

During a surprise presentation John Colville, the Poker Operations Manager presented a $25,000 dollar gift to Montel for the MS Foundation representing the poker players.  After six hours of play Matther May from London, England took home the first place prize of $8,400 dollars and one of the gold bracelets that are being presented to all of the winners in "The Grand" series.
