More Celebrities Confirmed to Compete in Charity Tournament

During the European Poker Tour Grand Final Week, a special charity tournament will take place to help the victims in the Darfur region. Today the Ante Up for Africa tournament will kick off with several poker pros as well as celebrities participating. A few more names have been added to the celebrity list. The newest set to compete is Sebastian Chabal, Poli Rincon, Boris Becker and Christian Vieri.

The European Poker Tour website recently posted the new list of celebrities to compete in the charity poker tournament. Boris Becker is of course a German tennis legend while Sebastian Chabal is known as a star in rugby. Christian Vieri is a striker from Italy and has stated he is interested in beginning a poker career maybe in the future. Finally, Poli Rincon is a former Spanish footballer and will be competing in the event as well.

The Ante Up for Africa poker tournament was created by actor Don Cheadle and poker pro Annie Duke. The money raised from the charity events goes to help the victims of crisis in the Darfur region of Africa. Ante Up for Africa events has become very popular in the United States so it is only natural that they make the move to raise money in Europe.
The event will begin today at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort with a buy-in of €4,000. It will be very interesting to see if the celebrities will be able to give the poker pros a run for their money.
