Nuevo Vallarta LAPT Stop Begins Today
The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour will be stopping today in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico for the second leg of season two. Many poker pros from Team PokerStars will be trying their luck at the tables along with those who qualified online.
Several poker pros have been confirmed to attend including: Alexandre Gomes de Souza Luz, Ander Akkari, Victor Ramdin, Greg Raymer and Humberto Brenes. Players should be on the lookout for Raymer as he has done quite well playing in PokerStars events. Raymer has finished second at Sunday Million events as well as winning the WCOOP Pot Limit Omaha event.
Seventy five online players who won their seats in qualifiers will be making their way to Mexico to join in on the action. Who knows, we may even see the next rising poker star emerge from the pack as an unknown who won their seat at the PokerStars website.
The buy-in for the event is $2,700 and almost 120 players are expected to participate. Even with a small playing field, the tournament is sure to be exciting as the top poker pros take on each other and the online players as well.
