PartyPoker Monthly Million Results

The second PartyPoker Monthly Million of this year took place this past Sunday and almost sixteen hundred players participated. Players competing had to pay the $640 buy-in to participate and the prize pool generated was $1 million.

Players from Russia dominated the tournament as the first and third place finishes went to two players of Russia. A spokesman for the PartyPoker website commented: "The rise of Russia in the poker world has been acknowledged for some time and the second PartyPoker.com Monthly Million was very much dominated by two very strong players from that country. A few years ago you would have said that the strongest Russian online players were those that played in big Limit games but the situation now is very different. The main plaudits go to SuperTight31 who spectacularly failed to live up to his name after taking top honors."

The Monthly Million is a $1 million guaranteed tournament that takes place on the PartyPoker website every first Sunday of the month. Qualifiers take place each month for the following month’s competition.
