Poker Pros Confirmed for Party Poker World Open

The Party Poker World Open is set to begin this Sunday October 11th at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair. Many poker pros will be attending the event and a few changes have been added to the tournament.

This time the World Open will have starting stacks that are tripled from the last time as well as eight seats at the table during the heats and seven players in the final. The buy-in for the event is $10,000 and a total prize pool of $480,000 will be up for grabs. The winner of the event will earn $250,000 for their efforts.

The players that have confirmed for the event are: Yevgeniy Timoshenko, JP Kelly, Layne Flack, Andrew Feldman and Teddy Sheringham. Also included are Roland De Wolfe, Paul Zimbler, Sammy George and Bruno Fitoussi and all the above pros are recently confirmed players to the event.

Tom Dwan has also been confirmed for the event and is currently sitting as the 10/1 favorite to win the event. A spokesman for the event commented that ‘the early money is for Durrrr, which isn’t really a surprise’ and Party Poker is delighted with the playing field.
