Poker Royale Casino to host European Poker Championships
The Poker Royale Casino in Wiener Neustadt, Austria will be hosting the European Poker Championships this year. The Poker Royale is known for having the largest Card Room in Europe and will now get a chance to show it off. Starting April 18th and continuing until May 4th the casino will be housing seventeen days of tournaments with several different games taking place.
No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Limit 7Card Stud will be available for players to participate in. The opening event on Friday April 18th will be a No Limit Hold'em tournament. The prize pool for this event will be a guaranteed € 30.000. On Saturday, the second event will take place. It will be a NLH Freeze-out tournament and satellites will also begin for players who want to qualify for the Main events.
The four main events of the tournament will be in NLH, Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and Limit 7Card Stud. Each main event winner will win a prize as well as the title of European Champion. The top twenty ranked players as well as the four main event winners will get the chance to play in another tournament. They will play NL Texas Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha and 7Card Stud in one tournament. The winner of this tournament will be named the Lord Of Poker.
During the second week of the tournament, qualifications will begin for the Sit and go European Championships. There will also be the European Team Championships taking place as well.
