PokerStars Announces Details for New Online Poker Series

PokerStars has announced details to their new online poker series that will begin this spring. The new series is called the Spring Championship of Online Poker and will begin on April 2nd and continue until the 12th.

The Spring Championship of Online Poker will have a total of sixty six tournaments in twenty two events at the online poker room. Several variants of poker will be played so there will be something for everyone.

The combined prize pool for the series will be a guarantee of $30 million but I would imagine many will be competing so the prize pools will most likely surpass the guarantees.

Each of the twenty two events will consist of three individual tournaments that will be based on different levels of stake. One will be for low stakes, one for medium and one for high stakes players. Players can also play in as many of the events as they would like.

Qualifiers are taking place now and players can find them under the Events tab for the Spring Championship of Online Poker. This is a great way for players to gain entry into a championship event without having to pay the entry fee.
