Players are eligible to buy into the $7,800 event until the cards are in the air day two, tournament organizers expect as many as 1,200 entrants in total, which will bring the final prize pool into the neighborhood of 8.5 million. Poker players were able to play in smaller satellites both on the PokerStars internet poker site, as well as in the Caribbean prior to the events kickoff, due to this factor, as well as the lower than usual 18 year old minimum age requirement, much of the younger internet poker crowd is expected to be in attendance.
Rumor has it some big name poker player Barry Greenstien, a popular poker player well known for his generosity, and donating large portions of his poker winnings to charity is expected to make an appearance on the tournaments roster amongst other well known pro players as well as many brand new names entering the arena for the first time this event.
