PokerStars Caribbean Day 2 Complete

Jan 7, 2008
Author: Cathy Roberts
Day two of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, an official European Poker Tour Tournament is behind us leaving yet again half of the days field. Just over 1000 players registered for the tournament. That number was cut in half and then some by the official second day of the event, when the cards hit the air at noon today, 478 players were still in the running for a share of the $5.8 Million prize pool, as the tournament day draws to an end, 159 of those players remain, leaving just 39 players to knock out before the bubble is burst and the players remaining hit the money.

Among those that busted from today's game are Kathy Liebert, Arnaud Mattern, and Daniel Negreanu. Woman poker player Kathy Liebert well known as a force to be dealt with at the poker table made her way according to the PokerStars blog directly from the tournament table, to the cash tables, her departure left a few women poker players including Rosamelia Ferreira and Wilhelmina Detz who are seated next to each other at the same table.

The action will begin again from the Caribbean tomorrow at 12pm EST, the tournament pays the 120 total.
