The PokerStars European Poker Tour Polish Open got underway today, this is to be a five day event that is going to be bringing some of pokers greats.

Today's event say 190 poker hopefuls that included; Katja Theater, Dario Minierim Magnus Peterson and Julian Thew that are all competing for a seat at the final table and ultimately the grand prize, lots of cash.

Last year Peter Willers took home the major win after sending home the other 284 players to end up winning $200,000 in prize money.

The buyin for the event is 20,000 in Polish Zloty which is about $8,600 dollars.  This is going to be the ninth event in the fourth season of the European Poker Tour.

Players only have one more tournament after this one to play on the tour before the Grand Final.  The next stop will be the San Remo in Italy, before continuing on to Monte Carlo for the Grand Final.

Both events are going to be held in April and players can still avoid the price of a high buyin by playing qualifiers at PokerStars to win their way to a seat.
