PokerStars Sunday Million Results
This past Sunday poker players took time off from their busy holiday shopping to schedule in a little poker. Just over seventy five hundred players anted up to compete in the PokerStars Sunday Million which created almost $10,000 over the guaranteed $1.5 million prize pool.
Nine players made it to the final table and when play began AvelonSalheb would be the first to leave. Holding A-J against CH101’s K-Q, AvelonSalheb had no chance when CH101 earned a straight on the river.
Next to go would be Mighty Hose, 5fish and TommyE79 in that order. Drpossjr25 would go out in 4th leaving jdballer40, CH101 and opis/sp left to duke it out to the finish. The three tried to work out a chop deal and finally settled after a second chip chop count. Opis/sp would knock out jdballer40 when he held top pair and jdballer40 couldn’t come up with cards to finish his straight draw.
Now left to play heads up is opis/sp and CH101. Opis/sp is in the chip lead which played to his advantage. The final hand came when both players watched the flop of A-K-6. CH101 went all in with 5-3 and was called by opis/sp who had Q-J. CH101 got no help on the river or turn and was out in second place leaving opis/sp with the first place win.
