PokerStars Sunday Million Results

This past Sunday PokerStars raised the guarantee from $1.5 million to a whopping $2.5 million. Many players were expected to compete in the tournament but the total amount of entered players is staggering—16,260. This amount created a $3.2 million prize pool which almost doubled the one million raised guarantee put up by the PokerStars website.

The large number of players should be no surprise as PokerStars was trying to break world records and held several online tournaments that day with increased guarantees. Players were trying to win their piece of the action.

Because of the large field, 2475 places were paid in the tournament. The final two players to go head to head were Ip SakiSaki and Beufford. Neither one wanted to cut a deal so play continued until one could be named the winner. Ip SakiSaki was able to take the final hand and the win, taking home over $300,000 for his efforts.
