Pros Defeated by Final Table Novice
Online player Elena M. was able to outlast two poker pros in this past weekend’s Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed poker tournament at Bodog. The top prize of the tournament was $25,000 and Elena M. was able to earn the first place prize even though this was the first time she made a final table of the tournament.
Four hundred and forty one players registered for the tournament and paid the $109 buy-in. when final table play began, Elena M. found herself up against two poker pros that play on Team Bodog as well as coming fresh off the WSOP. Brandy “ParliGod” Savage and Bolivar “ramux” Palacios both made the final table but were eliminated in fifth and seventh respectively.
Ramux earned $3,500 for seventh place while ParliGod earned $5,500 for fifth place. Fourth place went to online player theycallmetrues who earned $7,000 while third place went to elymint who earned $9,500. Heads up play then began between Elena M. and trp2006 and it would not be long before Elena M. would earn the first place finish and bragging rights for winning her first ever Bodog Tournament final table.
