Ryan Fee Wins LAPT Costa Rica Opener
Season Two of PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour has kicked off and the winner of the first stop is Ryan Fee. Ryan joined two hundred and ninety other players at the Ramada Plaza Herradura Conference Center in San Jose, Costa Rica to compete in the first stop on the tour.
The buy-in for the event was $3,500 and the top twenty four finishers would take home prize money. Team PokerStars players were out in full force, those playing included: Humberto Brenes, Andre Akkari, Victor Ramdin, Alexandre Gomes, Carter Gill, Liv Boeree and David Plastik.
Heads up play began between Ryan Fee and Joel Micka with Fee in the chip lead 2-1. It took a while before a flop would be seen as the two players were testing the waters. Eventually Micka was able to build his chip stack to even with Fee. Micka finally went all in with pocket 4s against Fee’s A-10. The board fell K-Q-7-8-A, which of course paired Fee’s Ace and won the game.
