Southend Casino to Host Second Poker Festival

A five day poker festival kicked off yesterday in Southend at the Rendezvous Casino and players are already competing to win the top prize. The prize pool for the event is £30,000 and the festival is named the Face to Face Poker Festival.

This festival is following in the footsteps of the first launch event which took place in April of this year. Anyone can take part in the festival and around 150 players are expected to compete in the festival. The festival began with £30 buy-in satellites and will end with a two day £500 buy-in main event.

The marketing manager of the casino, Nikki Proctor stated that novice players as well as experienced players are welcome to compete in the festival. She commented: “By maintaining a comfortable and friendly atmosphere and offering customer training facilities, we intend to introduce online players and newcomers to the live poker experience. Out ultimate aim is to promote and grow live poker in Essex.”
