Sunny Chattha Wins GUKPT Walsall Event

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) kicked off the second leg of the tour in Walsall recently and Sunny Chattha outlasted the field of 301 players and won the event taking home £88,150 for his efforts.

Sunny is a twenty three year old from south London and managed to beat Joe Grech in heads up play to take the first place prize. Sunny will also be playing in the GUKPT Champion of Champions tournament as that is also part of the first place prize.

When final table play began, Chatta was the chip leader but Grech eventually managed to even out the chips. When heads up play began the two had almost equal chip stacks. But Chatta was able to hold on and take the win.

Chatta has done very well during GUKPT events, having cashed out on five different occasions. Chatta is also a member of a London based poker team called the Hit Squad, so he defiantly gets his practice in. Chatta is the second GUKPT for the year as Bernard Litman won the first event back in January.
