Two Large Tournaments Are Headed to New Zealand

New Zealand will be hosting two of the largest poker tournaments in the country's history over the next seven months as the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) has announced it will be visiting Auckland for the first time in October while Christchurch will be hosting New Zealand's richest tournament in January.

The two events have caught the attention of many poker stars including Patrik Antonius who will like playing in "The Battle for Middle Earth" $5,000 dollar buy in tournament that will be held at the Christchurch Casino.

The AAPT event will be held at the SkyCity Casino on October 9th through October 12th and will be a NZ$3,000 buy in tournament that will have room for 360 players to compete for a slice of the NZ$1,000,000 prize pool.  This is going to be the third leg in the five leg APPT tour with other stops in Macau, Seoul, Manila and Sydney.
