United States Army Sponsors No Limit Tournament
Carter Hendricks, gaming coordinator for the tournament and member of AUSA said, "AUSA helps soldiers when it comes to legislation and advocacy, but we want to expand our initiatives to do direct service for families. The scholarships will help us to expand in that area."
The goal for the AUSA was $10,000 for the tournament; scholarships would be in the total of $1,500 and $1,000. The rest of the money would be allotted to be used for family support services at Fort Campbell.
Special guest Kenna James played the $100 buy-in event and was definitely a target as there was a bounty on his head of $100. After a break he commented on the number of women in the event, "Ten years ago, you never saw a woman in the poker room, Poker has become America's game now that it's cleaned up and regarded as a game of high ethical competition."
Jonathan Carter defeated World Poker Tour Player Kenna James to win back his $100 entry fee.
