WPT in Mississippi

This event is one of 19 on the WPT Tour this 6th season. For the Mississippi Gulf Coast though, it will be the very first televised event for them.

This tournament will start on the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and according to Mary Cracchiolo, a spokesperson for Beau Rivage, ""The timing is just perfect."

The Game Show Network will air the final day of the tournament in the first part of 2008. You can still find season V action on the Travel Channel Wednesday nights.

With an anticipated $1 million dollar purse, a diamond bracelet and a $25,500 seat into the WPT Championship at the Bellagio April 2008, expect to see many poker stars in Mississippi. Some competing will be Nguyen, J.C. Tran, John Phan and Vanessa Rousso.
